The Search for God

The search for God has been explained using the following story:

A Philosopher, an Atheist, and a Theologian find themselves in a dark room and are told to find the black cat.

The Philosopher begins looking for the cat everywhere, stumbling around in the dark as he goes.

The Atheist, not being able to see the cat, says "the cat does not exist", and doesn't even start looking.

The Theologian simply claims "I have it!", leaving the others to wonder if that is true!

This amusing story appears to be a good illustration of the search for God, but it is incomplete, because the Theologian mentioned above could not be a Christian:

If a Christian were given the same task, he would simply call the cat and, if it exists, it would come to him!
